Congregations Invited to Join with Columbus Coalition for the Homeless in Supporting STREET SPEECH |

The Columbus Coalition for the Homeless is now publishing, on the first of every month, a “street newspaper.” This paper, STREET SPEECH, is dedicated to raising awareness of homelessness in Central Ohio. Much of the paper is consists of articles written by currently or recently homeless people about their ‘story’ (or part of it). This paper is sold by currently or recently homeless people who are certified Vendors for the Coalition. It is sold throughout the downtown on many street corners and at other locations. The paper sells for $1 ($.75 cents goes directly to the Vendor). We are offering to make a quantity of these papers available to your congregation each month. We will assign a Vendor to come to you during the first week of every month with a set number of papers, which you would pay the Vendor for (preferably in cash, since most of our Vendors do not have bank accounts or to cash checks) when the papers are dropped off.
